Hello! I’m Jason Maloney, a proud Tulsa native and a passionate professional with a diverse background in finance, accounting, analytics, and machine learning. After earning a Bachelors in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, I returned to Tulsa for graduate studies at the University of Tulsa, where I earned both an MBA and a Masters of Finance.
My professional journey kicked off at HoganTaylor LLP, where I immersed myself in financial statement auditing while concurrently completing the CPA certification process. Transitioning to the Bank of Oklahoma, I continued to expand my skill set, working towards completion of the CFA certification process while serving as a model validator. My role evolved to encompass enterprise risk consulting, guiding internal control strategy, and eventually leading to management of the quantitative modeling analytics group.
My journey reached new heights when I was promoted to lead the quantitative modeling analytics group, overseeing the support and validation of all machine learning models across the bank. In this role, I collaborated with senior leaders and model owners to evaluate, advise, and enhance business profitability while managing risk exposure. As manager, I reported regularly to executive & senior leadership, internal & external auditors, bank regulators, and board of directors as a subject matter expert on validated models.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning and a desire to find new ways to help the Tulsa community, I left to pursue a Masters of Analytics degree at Georgia Tech, delving deeper into the intricacies of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. With the goal of applying these skills and techniques to the Tulsa community, I worked as a data scientist, contributing to the mission of the George Kaiser Family Foundation. In this impactful role, I applied advanced techniques to the criminal legal system, driving investment impact and leveraging the power of data for positive social change.
Continuing my commitment to lifelong learning, I am currently pursuing a Masters in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, augmenting my expertise in finance and analytics to create more robust analytical solutions. In my current role, I dedicate myself to supporting local businesses and non-profits, empowering them to unlock the full potential of their data. By harnessing the synergy of advanced education and practical application, I strive to drive positive transformations, ensuring organizations thrive in the data-driven landscape of today.
